Watch out for Japanese knotweed, the UK’s fastest-growing invasive weed.

We worry about Japanese Knotweed as it is so highly invasive and it can lead to costly damage to property and infrastructure

If left untreated Japanese knotweed quickly exploits weaknesses in brick, tarmac, and metal piping, causing costly damage to everything from buildings to driveways.

It can grow at speeds of 10cm a day so we shall need to act quickly if your property has a Japanese Knotweed problem.

In the past we have successfully used a company called TP Knotweed Solutions to deal with an outbreak and they have helpfully given permission for PLJ to link to their website so that our clients can see what the weed looks like at different times of the year.

Click identify knotweed to visit the site and see what it looks like for yourself.

So if you spot any suspicious looking plants on your property or nearby then please contact your Block Manager immediately so that the problem can be dealt with as soon as possible.

thank you
